Fans spam Vicky Kaushal after his name pops up in India scorecard, actor reacts

Vicky Kaushal, the Bollywood actor, woke up to an inbox full of spam as his name popped up in India U-19 vs Bangladesh U-19's scorecard. It must have taken the actor a while to understand what was happening, but he was quick to respond as soon as he understood.

On Sunday, when users spotted Vicky Kaushal's name in the match, they started spamming the actor. His name did not appear together but in bits on the scorecard. Vicky Ostwal and Kaushal Tambe appeared in the scorecard one after the other, forming Vicky Kaushal's name.

As soon as he understood the context, he was quick to thank the users. "Thank you internet for spamming me with this today. Best wishes Team India U19,” he wrote on his Instagram story alongside a picture of India vs Bangladesh Under-19 World Cup 2022 scoreboard.

The India team has now reached the semi-final for the fourth time in a row, beating Bangladesh, the defending champions, in the last match. The last time these two faced each other, Bangladesh beat India in the final of the World Cup 2020. Batting first, Bangladesh managed to score just 111 runs, which India chased down in 30.4 overs to reach the semi-final.

Ravi Kumar led the team to glory, as he took three wickets in the match. He was economical too, conceding just 14 runs in his spell of seven overs. Vicky Ostwal also made a good contribution with his two wickets in the match. He conceded 25 runs in his nine overs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, captain Yash Dhull, and Shaik Rasheed helped India chase down the target easily.

India will play against Australia in the semi-final on 2nd of February.
