On 28 November 2022, Cameroon toom on Serbia In the ongoing FIFA World Cup. It was a Group G encounter which took place in Al Janoub Stadium. However, Cameroon suffered a 1-0 loss against Switzerland in their opening fixture. On the other hand, Brazil also defeated Serbia 2-0 convincingly.

So, both teams were looking to win this match to stay alive in the tournament. However, Cameroon are currently the 43rd-ranked team in the world. While Serbia are the 21st-ranked team in the world. So, Serbia fans were hoping for a comfortable win from their team over the Cameroon side.    

Cameroon vs Serbia ends 3-3 in FIFA World Cup 2022

Speaking of the match, Serbia had an early chance to take a lead in the clash with Cameroon. In the 10th minute, Aleksandar Mitrovic had a shot but he smashed it at the post from a tight angle. Then, in the 17th minute, Mitrovic got another chance to open the scoring. But, he ended up lashing his effort wide. Then, in the 29th minute, Cameroon did not do any mistakes as they opened the scoring.

Jean-Charles Castelletto was the goal-scorer as he finished from a close range. After that, Serbia responded quickly and came up with an equalizer. Strahinja Pavlovic scored that goal while Dusan Tadic provided the assist in the 45+1’ minute. Tadic sent a free-kick to Pavlovic and he managed to head that ball to the goal by jumping the highest. Then, in the 45+3’ minute, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored the second goal for Serbia.

Andrija Zivkovic provided a ball to Savic and he finished the attempt at the bottom corner. Thus, the first half ended 2-1. But, in the second half, Cameroon looked sharper than their opponent. In the 63rd minute, Vincent Aboubakar scored the second goal for Cameroon while Jean-Charles Castelletto assisted him. Then, in the 66th minute, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored the third goal while Vincent Aboubakar managed the assist. However, Cameroon’s one more goal got canceled due to VAR in the 64th minute. Then, both teams tried hard to add more goals to the board. But, they failed and the match ended 3-3 after a thrilling contest.
