FIFA World Cup 2022, Semi Final: France crush Morocco 2-0, join Argentina in finals

The FIFA World Cup 2022 kicked off on November 20 between Qatar and Ecuador and the hosts crashed out of the tournament on the back of their poor run in the tournament. As things stand, with Argentina storming into the finals, Morocco and France faced off in the semi-finals 2 and it was the latter who dominated the first half. 

To add more, both teams gave it their all right throughout the half, however, it was Theo Hernández who opened the lead for the French brigade in the 5th minute and inching France closer to clinching the first half. Eventually, after fighting hard post conceding the first goal, the Moroccan team failed to match the lead and the scoreline remained unchanged at the end of the first half.

The second half, however, turned out to be an interesting one as neither of the teams managed to score a goal in the initial minutes and the scoreline remained unchanged with the Les Bleus leading 1-0. Fans, on the other hand, hoped for a comeback from the Moroccan team although many argued that it was highly unlikely, given that the French brigade was on form on a crucial day.

At the 50-minute mark, Morocco still remained without a goal and their fans feared that the team might crash out of the tournament post putting on a great fight in the group stages, Round of 16 and in the quarter-finals as well. Randal Kolo Muani, the star player from France eventually doubled the lead in the 79th minute and eventually put his team closer to the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

On the other hand, it was heartbreak for Morocco who tried their best to make a cut to the finals of the ongoing multinational tournament. However, despite giving it their all, Morocco failed to make it through to the summit clash of the contest and it was France who won the match with a scoreline of 2-0.
