It is not uncommon for cricketers to have different sources of revenue apart from cricket. There are many cricketers who own their businesses and have had huge success in their ventures. From Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni from India to Gary Kersten and AB de Villers from South Africa, there are many cricketers who have turned into businessmen. Here are some cricketers with their successful business ventures.

Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene

The duo of Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene has been an iconic duo for the Sri Lankan team. They have added many runs on the board together, but not many know they own a restaurant chain together. Sangakkara and Jayawardene are the proud owners of the Ministry of Crab seafood restaurant franchise. The restaurant was founded in partnership with famous chef Dharshan Munidasa. It began in Colombo but has now expanded to become an international brand with branches in Mumbai, Shanghai, the Maldives, and Bangkok. One can only imagine how much money they must be making from this wise investment.

Garry Kirsten

Garry Kirsten was India's World Cup-winning coach in 2011. Paddy Upton, India's mental health coach and Gary became close while working together. They collaborated to establish Performance Zone, a firm that assists organizations and people in increasing productivity. Kirsten also has his own website, which serves as a one-stop-shop for all of the legend's services. Gary Kirsten Academy, his motivational enterprise, operates along the same lines as Performance Zone. It assists young people in receiving appropriate training for their professional route.

Saeed Anwar and Inzamam ul Haq

Back in the 1990s and early 2000s, Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-Ul-Haq were well-known for attacking the bowlers. They were a batting combination who frightened every opponent and bowling attack. They continued their collaboration off the field and launched Meat One, a meat distribution firm. It's a speciality meat shop with locations throughout Pakistan and on its way to the UAE. Their most popular cuts are Tikka Cut, Karachi Cut, and Biryani Cut.

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh has been a major contributor to India's cricketing success. However, in 2011 he was diagnosed with cancer, which he successfully defeated and returned to cricket. Yet, he was never at his best. When his cricket career came to an end, he concentrated on other enterprises. Singh founded YouWeCan, a company that primarily invests in startups. He has invested in several businesses, including Holosuit, a virtual reality firm, and Healthians, a home diagnostics service provider. According to the Economic Times, YouWeCan also has a clothing line.

Sachin Tendulkar

Wherever you look, whether it's about cricket or life after cricket, the master blaster  Sachin Tendulkar is at the top of the list. The Mumbaikar has invested in several businesses. Tendulkar holds a 7.5 per cent stake in Musafir, a tourism firm located in the United Arab Emirates. He also has an 18% share in Smaaash Entertainment, a sports simulation firm. The 46-year-old holds a 28 per cent ownership in Universal Collectabillia, a celebrity product and brand extension company.
