Getting rid of a batter as early as possible is the goal of any bowler. It is the best feeling for a bowler to get a wicket for a duck, but not so much for a batter. It is very disappointing for a batter to return to the dugout without a run in the bag. There have been many players in the Indian T20 League with multiple ducks, but here are the players with the most ducks in the tournament's history.
Rohit Sharma- 13 ducks
Rohit Sharma is the most successful captain and the most successful player in the history of the ITL. He has five trophies to his name as the captain and six as a player. He is also among the top run-scorers in the history of the tournament. Despite all this, he has 13 ducks. It is understandable as it can be difficult for openers to adjust to the conditions at once.
Ambati Rayudud- 13 ducks
Ambati Rayudu has become a seasoned player as he only plays in the ITL these days. He has played for Mumbai and Chennai in the tournament and has had some great memories with both of these teams. He is a floater in the batting lineup which has resulted in some inconsistency in his overall performance. He has 13 ducks to his name.
Parthiv Patel- 13 ducks
Having played for multiple teams, Parthiv Patel has seen some success and some failure in his ITL run. He was a part of the Mumbai team when Mumbai won the titles in 2015 and the 2016 seasons. He too is an opener, which makes him vulnerable to playing conditions at the top of the order. Patel has 13 ducks to his name.
Harbhajan Singh- 13 ducks
Harbhajan Singh is a much better batter than anybody realises. He has some half-centuries to his name playing for Mumbai. The franchise fans will never forget his knock against Punjab when everybody least expected it. His playing style is to attack every opportunity. This is the reason why he gets out early while batting. He too has 13 ducks in the ITL.
Piyush Chawla- 13 ducks
There are never too many expectations from tail-enders to perform with the bat, which is why they end with fewer scores in the matches. Piyush Chawala is the kind of batter who tries to hit every ball in search of success. While that has worked for him sometimes, including the last ball of the 2014 final, other times it has not. Chawla also has 13 ducks to his name.
