Five unforgettable stump mic moments by MS Dhoni

1. Pujara isn't there just to clap

The incident took place during the second and last Test on India's tour of New Zealand  in2014. Batting first, the hosts were bundled out for 192. In reply, the visitors amassed 438 in the first innings. Trailing by 246, the Brendon McCullum-led side was tottering at 94/5. McCullum and BJ Watling put up a mammoth partnership and helped new Zealand recover.

Ravindra Jadeja came into bowl in the 143rd over. In that over, Jadeja was not bowling to his field with Pujara standing at slips. Dhoni quipped “Ispe ek ghumega toh idhar Pujara ko ussi ke liye rakha hai, who udhar taali bajane ke liye nahi hai.”

2. Shift to other side, your girlfriend isn't standing there

The incident happened when New Zealand toured India in 2010. New Zealand were 391/5, in reply to India's 487 all-out. Dhoni wanted S Sreesanth to change his position thus quipped, “Oye shree udhar girlfriend nahi hai, idhar aaja thoda,”

3. Can't speak in Hindi

The incident happened during the 19th game of the Indian T20 League. Chennai had amassed 191/4 batting first. Defending the target, Ravindra Jadeja had taken the wicket of AB De Villiers. When Harshal Patel came out to bat, MS Dhoni said to Jadeja that he won't be able to speak in Hindi as Harshal will know what he is trying to say.

4. MS Dhoni gives a befitting reply to Kevin Pietersen

In 2017, when MS Dhoni was playing for now-defunct Pune, Kevin Pietersen had said that he is a better golfer than Dhoni, to Manoj Tiwari. Tiwari told Dhoni about it and Dhoni replied “He is still my first Test wicket!”.

5. India vs South Africa 2018

This was the time when MS Dhoni was playing as non-captain in the team. In the fifth ODI between India and South Africa, Dhoni was heard asking the fielders to stay alert for the tricky catches. “Idhar tayyar rehna boht zor ka catch aayega, badme mat bolna, chalo ladko ek wicket ki baat hai”
