Glenn Maxwell returned to the Bangalore team against Mumbai after missing out on the first few games due to marriage. He had the perfect start to the tournament as he was involved in a brilliant run out of Tilak Varma. Varma hit the ball directly to Maxwell and took off when there was never a run.

Maxwell dived forward to hit the stumps at the non-striking end. The umpire did not refer it to the third umpire as Varma was out by a huge distance. Everyone was left shocked by this outstanding run-out of the in-form player.

Twitter also welcomed Maxwell to the tournament as they exploded with praise for the Australian all-rounder. "The big show Glenn Maxwell runs out Tilak Varma. What anticipation by him," a fan wrote. "The Big Show Glenn Maxwell - What a player. Maxi magic in the field, another fan wrote.

Meanwhile, Mumbai struggled to get to a good start. After going wicketless in the powerplay for a score of 49, Mumbai kept losing wickets. Half of the side was sent back in the next five overs of the game. Notably, they have lost their first three games of the season and are looking for their first win.

Bangalore, on the other hand, has played three games and won two of them. They would look to capitalise on the good start and win the match to keep the winning streak going.
