Star football players to feature again in the World Cup

Former football stars Mesut Ozil, Kaka, Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho and many other star players will be back in action. They will play in the first edition of the 35s World Cup which is set to start in June.

Former football stars Mesut Ozil, Kaka, Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho and many other star players will be back in action. They will play in the first edition of the 35s World Cup which is set to start in June. The format of the tournament will be in knockout form and all matches will be held at St. James Park which is also Newcastle United's home ground.

This tournament will feature eight former World Cup winners and it will be hosted by the Elite Player’s Group (EPG). It consists of former top-level footballers as well as sports businessmen. Captains from each side will be the founders of EPG.

The dates for this tournament are out as the tournament will feature seven matches following the quarter-final which will take place on 4th and 5th June. The semi-final will be held on 8th June and the final match will be held on 11th June. For fans, it will be a great tournament to watch their favourite players on the football field back again.

Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Uruguay are the eight teams that will feature in this World Cup.

Nostalgia for football fans

Many former players will once again unite to win the 35s World Cup. The captain’s list is already revealed as Argentina's captain will be Esteban Cambiasso, and the five-times FIFA World Cup winners Brazil will be captained by Emerson, while Former Liverpool winger Steve McMananman will be the captain of England. France will be under the leadership of Christian Karembeu, Germany will be led by Kevin Kuranyi, Marco Materazzi will lead Itay, Spain to be captained by Michel Salgado and Diego Lugano will serve as Uruguay's captain. While Kaka will be the main attraction for the fans.

The team’s squad has not yet finalised but it will feature many stars. The tournament surely will take fans back in the old days when star players where in prime form.
