The schedule for the next edition of the 20-20 World Cup has been announced, with India and Pakistan in the same group yet again. The two will begin their campaign on the 23rd of October in Melbourne in the group opener. India leads the 20-20 World Cup wins count by 5-1, with Pakistan managing to open the account in the last edition.
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar feels that the Men in Green have a great chance of making it two wins in two games against Australia. Akhtar feels Pakistan is a better team than India in T20 cricket. Akhtar also blamed the Indian media for putting pressure on their team.
“We will beat India again in Melbourne. Pakistan is a better side than India in T20 cricket. It’s the Indian media that make unnecessary pressure on their team whenever we have the clash of both the countries in cricket, it's normal for India to lose," as quoted by Sports Tiger
Meanwhile, India will be looking forward to this encounter to make it up for the last defeat. Bangladesh and South Africa are the other two teams in the same group.
The next edition of the 20-20 World Cup is scheduled to begin in Australia from the 16th of October. The super 12 stages will begin from the 22nd of October. The opener will be played between the host Australia and New Zealand. The finals will be played on the 13th of November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
