Cricketers are known to follow a strict diet in order to maintain high fitness levels. With the introduction of the Yo-Yo test, the players have to be extremely fit to find a place in the team. The players can be seen sweating it out in the gym and preferably having boiled and other healthy food. Oily food, high-cholesterol food, etc, are not at all advisable by any means.

Even though cricketers follow a strict & disciplined diet, they do have their favorite food as well. In fact, several cricketers are known to be foodies. So without further ado, let's get to know more about the renowned cricketers and their favourite dishes.

MS Dhoni: MS Dhoni is a hardcore fitness freak, which is pretty much evident whenyou see him on the ground.  However, it is interesting to know that Dhoni is fond of butter chicken with naan, kebabs, and chicken tikka pizza. Even the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper's Twitter bio reads as 'perennially hungry for chicken butter masala'.

Virat Kohli: Just like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, his successor Virat Kohli is also a foodie. Nonetheless, when he had attained superstardom, Kohli had to make a lot of sacrifices as far as his diet his concerned. When he was named Team India's full-time captain, Virat Kohli went on to reveal how this strict diet had helped him on the 22 yards, especially while running between the wickets. During an Instagram live session with former RCB team-mate Kevin Pietersen, the Delhi cricketer had also said that he had turned vegan in 2018.

However, the batting megastar is fond of having Ram Ke Chole Bhature in Delhi. Kohli also loves having Sushi.

Rohit Sharma:  The current Team India limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma also happens to be a foodie and he enjoys having Aloo Paratha and Vada Pav. As per reports, Vada Pav has been the opener's favorite street food since childhood.

Yuvraj Singh: Yuvraj Singh, who has hit six sixes in an over does not get defensive when it comes to food. The two-time World Cup winner is also a hardcore foodie as he loves having Kadhi-Chawal and Matar Paneer. He also enjoys continental food.

Gautam Gambhir:  Gautam Gambhir, who was the top-scorer of India's 2007 T20 World Cup & 2011 World Cup triumphs loves having simple food which is Rajma Chawal.

Harbhajan Singh: Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh cannot resist without Punjabi food and he loves having Aloo Paratha with curd, mint chutney, and pickle.

Ravichandran Ashwin: The Tamil Nadu offie is an ardent fan of home-cooked food. He loves to eat Paneer Capsicum made by his mother.

Rahul Dravid: The Indian cricket team's head coach is also fond of home-cooked food and he loves to have  Buttery Crab at least once a week.

Sourav Ganguly: The reigning Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President is a huge fan of typical Bengali food as he enjoys having Aloo Poshto and Chingri Macher Malaikari. Dada also likes to have Shahi Biriyani.

Sachin Tendulkar: The Master Blaster is fond of having  Keema Parathas, Prawn Masala, Lassi, Sushi, and Sashimi.
