England management has announced the playing XI for the first Test of the five-match Ashes against Australia. Meanwhile, the English management has picked Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali in the final eleven for the first Edgbaston Test starting on Friday. On the other hand, the legendary pacer James Anderson alongside Ollie Robinson will be leading the pace attack of the team.
Amidst all this, the England skipper Ben Stokes has also come up with a big statement while talking about picking Stuart Broad for David Warner. Stokes compared this match-up with the one he shares with World’s number one Test bowler and veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

Apart from that, Stokes also talked about calling Moeen Ali back from retirement to appear in the all-important Ashes against the arch-rivals Australia.
“A player like Mo, who I have seen put in some unbelievable match-winning performances, albeit a long time ago, was something I couldn’t look past. That was a stomach and a heart feeling, rather than my brain. Generally, I have stuck with my heart and my gut throughout my captaincy so far. Moeen Ali is going to come in here and I am looking at what he can offer on his best days, and not worrying about anything else,” said Ben Stokes.
