John Cena is one of the most loved WWE superstars of all time, especially in India. There are no age barriers when it comes to supporting this wrestler throughout all these years. Cena has always looked to give his best in the ring and impress his global fans. Speaking about his achievements, John Cena is the joint 16-time world champion.

Cena has won the WWE Championship a record number of 13 times. While he has won the World Heavyweight Championship three times. However, his last appearance in WWE was back in July 2021. It was the pay-per-view event of Money in the Bank. John Cena fought with Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal title match.

However, Cena lost that match and after that, he did not make a comeback. Speaking about a record, John Cena has not missed a single year since his professional debut without wrestling. So, fans were in worry that the record might not be intact as Cena was nowhere near making a return. But, on 31 December 2022, the veteran superstar made a comeback in the last Smackdown event of the year. The legend made his comeback after 16 months. He teamed up with Kevin Owens to fight Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. 

It became more good news for Cena fans as they managed to beat the team of Roman and Zayn. On 16 December, Cena announced himself as the tag team partner for Kevin Owens for this match in Smackdown. With this match, he has now wrestled in a WWE ring every year since 2000 and kept his record intact. His last match was on 10 September 2021 in Smackdown when Cena teamed up with the Mysterios. They took on Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos for the dark main event. However, Cena‘s team won the match eventually. Speaking about his return, John Cena came out to a huge ovation from the Tampa crowd.
