Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi are all set to lock horns in the second match of the Pakistan Super League 2023. Both teams will play this match at the National Stadium in Karachi. But more than a match between Karachi and Peshawar, the contest is considered a potential battle between one of the World’s best batters, Babar Azam, and the former star Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir.

Notably, Babar Azam is currently ranked number 3 in the World T20I rankings following his own teammate Mohammad Rizwan on number two; having star India bating sensation Suryakumar Yadav at the first spot.

Although the former pace spearhead Mohammad Amir has ignited a fire of words just ahead of the match. The 30-year-old has come up with the brutal words while answering a question on facing Babar Azam in PSL.

"Bowling to Babar Azam is the same for me as bowling to any tailender or No. 10 batter. My job is to get wickets no matter who the batter is,” said Mohammad to ARY News.

Although a section of the cricket fans took it as an opportunity to take a hilarious dig at both players. They took to Twitter to come up with some hilarious and witty responses in the comment section.

Here’s how fans reacted to the statement of Mohammad Amir for Babar Azam:

Interestingly, Babar Azam will be playing for Peshawar Zalmi this year after a disassociation with the Karachi King; the team he captained previously.

Speaking of the head-to-head records between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, the former have completely dominated by winning four of the last five matches in PSL. Peshawar could cross the line only in one match to win the match by six wickets.

Apart from Babar and Amir, the players who would be there to watch for will be the Karachi batters Sharjeel Khan and Imad Wasim alongside Peshawar’s Mohammad Haris, and Sherfane Rutherford. Talking about the bowlers, Karachi’s Mir Hamza and the veteran Peshawar pacer Wahab Riaz would be the interesting ones to see.
