The 2023 eXTREMESLAND Asia Cup is set to begin from January 26 at the Perfect World Esports Center in Shanghai, eight teams to face each other on LAN tournament

The ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia Cup 2023 will be the fifth instalment to the series and will be featuring Counter Strike 2. The event will run from January 26 to January 28 and will feature a prize pool of $50,000.

While not exactly one of the top tier in terms of prize money, the tournament is quite famous in the Asian region. The event have attracted many players since it was first held back in 2016.

A total of Eight teams both invited and qualifying will face each other at the Perfect World Esports Center in Shanghai, China. Playing teams come from their respective qualifying regions and will be divided into two groups of four.

Qualifier regions include China, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. Six teams entered the tournament through the qualifiers, while two more teams entered the event through direct invites.

Losers of the opening match will face each other in a best-of-three match before moving forward. The winners of the opening match will also face each other in a best-of-one match. Two teams from each group will then move forward to the playoffs.

The playoffs will be featuring single elimination, best-of-one brackets among four teams. Winners will move forward to the grand finals for a chance to become the champion. Matches will be live-streamed across multiple platforms.
