Let’s have a look at the opening matches for all teams -

All teams are divided into three groups. Group A and B saw all of its teams compete, while Group C only saw two teams compete in the opening day.

Group A

Group A saw NRG against FURIA Esports, with matches favouring NRG. The team secured the first two maps in the best-of-three for a win over their opponents.

The second matchup saw Cloud9 against MIBR. Both teams were equally matched and managed to secure their map pick, leading to the decider match. Cloud9 ultimately secured the final match after some struggle.

NRG and Cloud9 moved to the Winners bracket, while FURIA and MIBR moved to the losers bracket.

Group B

The second group saw LOUD matching with Sentinels and defeated them back to back even on their own map pick. Following that, Leviatán faced 100 Thieves and managed to beat them after a long push and pull.

LOUD and Leviatán finally made their way to the decider match, while 100 Thieves and Sentinels faced off in an elimination match.

Group C

Group C only features one opening match between G2 Esports and KRÜ Esports. The group only featured three teams, with Evil Geniuses getting an automatic win.

KRÜ Esports managed to get the best of G2 in the first opening match, however, G2 wasn’t ready to give up just yet. With back-to-back wins, G2 managed a spot in the winner's bracket and sent KRÜ Esports directly to the decider bracket.
