2020 IPL finalists, Delhi Capitals isn't having the best of times in the ongoing season of the tournament. In the ongoing season, they have lost five out of their as many games. They are looking for their first win as they are staring down an early tournament exit. On top of that, some of their players have reported their kits being stolen.

A total of sixteen bats, along with pads, shoes, thigh pads, and gloves went missing from the player’s kit. David Warner is missing three bats. On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh, Phil Salt, and Yash Dhull is missing two, three, and five bats respectively. Apart from this, a few others lost their shoes, gloves, and other cricketing equipment. The players came to know about this after receiving their kit bags in their respective rooms.

“All of them were shocked when they heard that everyone had lost something or the other from their kit bags. This is the first time such an incident has happened and the matter was soon raised to the logistics department, police, and later at the airport. The investigation is on,” a source in Delhi Capitals confirmed to The Indian Express.

“Our duty officer asked them to write a complaint with all the details and gave them a paper. They said that they would get all the details and will file a complaint. Appropriate legal action would be taken,” he said.

Delhi Capitals will host Kolkata Knight Riders on April 20

Meanwhile, the 2020 finalists will play their next game against the two-time winners, KKR. The Capitals are yet to win a game and would look to win this one to keep themselves alive for the playoffs race. On the other hand, the Knight Riders are having a mixed season. They have played five, won two, and lost the rest.
