The young Indian batter Shubman Gill didn’t have an expected run of form with the bat in the just-concluded three-match ODI series against Australia. He could score only 57 runs in three innings of the three matches he played in the series with a below-par average of 19.00 including a duck in the second of the three-match ODI series.

But apart from the action on the cricketing field. the 23-year-old is in the headlines of social media for his recent looks that went viral among fans. In a newly surfaced picture on social media, Gill is wearing a T-shirt printed with a banana on it and a with the specs of cherry red-colored glasses.

Within a few minutes after this photo was shared on social media, Indian fans being Indian fans as always, took it as an opportunity to troll the youngster with a lot of interesting and hilarious reactions on the micro-blogging site. Some of the fans also advised him to learn a bit of fashion sense from the former Indian skipper and batting superstar, Virat Kohli. Whereas, a user termed this ‘new look’ of Gill as an impact of star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s company.

Earlier, Shubman Gill had an impressive outing with the bat in the fourth and last of the four-match Test series by hitting a century in the first Indian innings. Apart from that, he also holds the record of being the youngest batter to smash an ODI double century. The Fazilka batter achieved this feat against New Zealand in the first of the three-match ODI series on January 18 earlier this year.

He was awarded ‘player of the match for his blistering knock of 208 runs off 149 balls with 19 boundaries and nine massive sixes with the wood. Later on, he went on to win ‘the player of the series award for scoring 360 runs in three innings with a century with a sensational average of 120.00.
