India and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has turned 36 years old ahead of the MIs clash against Rajasthan Royals on April 30. The game will be played later in the day. A brief look at Rohit Sharma's International and IPL Career
Meanwhile, Sharma made his T20I debut in the 20-20 World Cup 2007 game against South Africa. This was the must-win game for the eventual champions, India after losing their first Super Eight game against New Zealand but making a comeback against England. In the game, the right-hander scored important runs after losing early wickets. The team won the game and qualified for the semis.
Talking about his T20I career, he has played 148 games and has 3853 runs including four hundreds. Before this, the Mumbaikar made his ODI debut on the tour of Ireland in June 2007. In this format, he has 9825 runs including 30 fifties. In the last series of Sachin Tendulkar, Sharma made his Test debut. Since then, he has played 49 games and has 3379 runs including nine hundred.
Talking about his IPL career, he has played 234 games while being part of the now-defunct Deccan Chargers. Since 2011, he has been part of the Mumbai Indians and started leading the team two years later. After this, the team has won five titles till 2020.
