Unlike the previous year, MS Dhoni has looked in great touch this year. He started his campaign with an unbeaten knock of 50 runs in 38 balls, including 7 fours. His team was in deep trouble at 52 for 4 when he walked out to bat. But his half-century ensured Chennai had a reasonable score on the board against Kolkata.

Though, they lost the game in the end. In the next game, Chennai played another unbeaten 6-ball 16-run cameo, helping Chennai reach a massive total of 210 runs on the board. Unfortunately, Ravindra Jadeja and Co. couldn’t win that game as well.

However, on Thursday, against Mumbai, MS Dhoni ensured he finish the game and take the team home on the very last ball of the game. He played an unbeaten match-winning knock of 28 runs in 13 balls, a knock which was studded with 3 fours and 1 six. Overall, in 7 games, he has managed to score 120 runs at a strike rate and average of 131 and 60 respectively.

With that win, Chennai have now 2 wins in 7 matches. Ravindra Jadeja and Co. are slated to play their next match against Punjab on Monday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
