Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell got married to his long-time partner Vini Raman on March 18. The duo was dating each other since 2017 and got married according to Christian traditions first. The couple will now get married according to Tamil tradition on March 27.

Meanwhile, during the Indian rituals, someone stole Maxwell's shoes, which is a tradition in every Indian wedding. However, in a surprising turn of events, the all-rounder wasn't aware of the tradition. He went to file a First Information Report (FIR) in the police station. The incident was reported by one of the Australian media houses and someone took a screenshot of it. The screenshot turned into a meme and went viral on social media. The 33-year-old was later informed that shoe stealing is a ritual in Indian weddings.

Meanwhile, the right-hander is set to miss out on the first few games for Bangalore in the Indian T20 League as Australians can only participate in the league after the completion of Australia tour of Pakistan. The Kew-born player was retained by the franchise last year at a price of 11 crores INR. Maxwell amassed 513 runs in 15 games, averaging 42.75 and striking at 144.10. He would like to repeat the performance this year and help the team lift their maiden title in the 15th season. The Men in Red and Black have played the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but failed to win the title even once.
