Virat Kohli

Former RCB skipper and batting veteran, Virat Kohli was involved in a heated debate with the young LSG pacer Naveen ul Haq during the 43rd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League. It all happened in the 17th over of the second innings of the match when Lucknow Super Giants were chasing the target of 127 runs posted by RCB in the first innings.

Virat Kohli happened to show his shoes to Naveen which was later followed by his verbal spat with Amit Mishra and a heated argument with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir after the end of the match.

Later on, Virat and Naveen had been fined alongside LSG’s mentor Gautam Gambhir. Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100 percent of their match fees whereas Naveen was found guilty of breaching level 1 and he was fined 50 percent of his match fees.

Although, it all didn’t end in the ground between Kohli and Naveen ul Haq; both players took their Instagram handle to post stories indicating the incident and hinting at each other. Subsequently, a section of cricket fans immediately took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to come up with a lot of reactions and responses on the Instagram stories posted by both players from their official Instagram handles.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Talking about cricket, RCB managed to post a low total of 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs at the quite a bit tough surface of the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Later on, the hosts failed to chase down this low target and they got bundled up only on the score of 108 runs and lost the match by a margin of 18 runs.

Notably, it was the fourth defeat for LSG in their ninth match during the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. With five wins, they are now in the third spot in the points table of the tournament.
