So, fans were not happy with such a performance from the star batter. Now, ahead of the second game, a video went viral where an Indian fan came up with a big suggestion for KL Rahul.

Indian fans do not want KL Rahul in the playing XI against the Dutch

Speaking of the video, some Indian fans were seen ahead of the Netherlands clash. Then, a reporter asked them if they want Virat Kohli to open the innings. In reply to that, a fan said: “He plays well while opening. And, we can get to see more of him. He is in a good form. So, why not!.”

So, the reporter said then KL Rahul needs to sit on the bench only as he said earlier in a press conference. Listening to that, the fan said: “Haan, baith jaaye. Baith jaaye hamare saath, seat khali hai.” (“Yes. He can sit. He can sit with us as there are empty seats.”) Speaking of that incident, it took place after the Afghanistan clash in the Asia Cup 2022.

Virat Kohli scored a hundred in that match while opening along with KL Rahul. However, Rahul also scored fifty in that match. But, in the press conference, a journalist asked if India can use Virat as an opener along with Rohit Sharma in the World Cup. In reply to that, Rahul said: "Toh kya mai khud baith jaun? (So then should I sit out?). However, Rohit Sharma confirmed KL Rahul’s availability against the Netherlands after winning the toss at the SCG.
