Indian skipper Rohit Sharma expressed his heart while speaking about his plans with the Team in the near future, including both the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023 at home. He will be leading the side in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI series against Australia before taking charge in the ODI World Cup.

Rohit felt the pressure of expectations in the home World Cup. The skipper also said that he wishes to create some good memories with the current team to participate in the upcoming major international tournaments and some other crucial assignments.

“For me, it’s all about creating memories and creating a good rapport with my teammates. Be happy with whatever you get and whatever you have. I am not a firm believer in numbers. You should be happy and enjoy the time you have in front of you, and try to live in that kind of moment. I am thinking about what gives me happiness,” said Rohit Sharma to PTI during an exclusive interview.

Furthermore, he also spoke about his batting form and individual success in the last edition of the ODI World Cup in 2019, alongside speaking about his legacy for India after a 16-year-long international career.

“I was in good shape, good mindset. I want to bring that back and I have time to do that. Trying to recollect what were the right things that I was doing before the 2019 World Cup as a cricketer and as a person. I want to revisit that thought process of mine personally,” Rohit said.

“A person can’t change overnight with his successes or failures. I don’t think one result or one championship can change me as a person. I have not changed as a person in the last 16 years and I don’t think anything needs to change on that front. I am not the person who thinks about what kind of legacy I will leave behind. My legacy will be for people to judge and talk about. Not for me to say,” he added.
