The Australian team has reached Thiruvananthapuram for their first warm-up match against the Netherlands on Saturday, September 30 ahead of the main round of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. Prior to that, the Australian players are also enjoying and having a fun time in Kerala ahead of the match.

A video is also making rounds on social media in which the former skipper Steve Smith is seen roaming with his teammates, including the likes of Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey, and Sean Abbott. The video immediately went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Talking about cricket, the Aussies are coming off with a series loss by 1-2 in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against India, in India. The hosts won the first two matches and took an unassailable lead of 2-0 followed by the victory of visitors in the third and the last ODI of the series by a margin of 66 runs head to the ODI World Cup 2023 with a win.

Now, India and Australia will face each other once again in their campaign opener of the ODI World Cup 2023; both teams will play this match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8. Prior to the Pat Cummins-led Australia will also play two warm-up matches against the Netherlands and Pakistan on September 30 and October 3, respectively.

The Aussies will be eyeing their sixth ODI World Cup title with a win in the upcoming edition of the tournament. The last time, they won the ODI World Cup title was in 2015 when it was played in their backyard.
