Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders locked horns in the 13th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023; both teams played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The hosts’ stand-in skipper Rashid Khan won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first at their home ground.

Batting first, GT posted a big total of 204 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Later on, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to chase down the target in a thrilling style by scoring 207  runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs to win the match by three wickets.

The cricket fans were also ecstatic following this thrilling win of KKR in a nail-biter against Rashid Khan's men. They took to Twitter to shower praises on Kolkata Knight Riders and appreciated the performance in their third match in the IPL 2023.

Fans also lavished the praises on the blistering southpaw Rinku Singh for turning the match dramatically in favour of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the star opener Shubman Gill and number three batter Sai Sudarshan played the crucial knocks of 39 and 53 runs respectively for the Gujarat Titans in the first innings. Other than these two, it was star all-rounder Vijay Shankar who attracted the eyeballs with his swashbuckling unbeaten knock of 63 runs off just 24 balls with four boundaries and five sixes to his name. On the back of these knocks, the Titans managed to post a score of 204 runs for the loss of four wickets in the first 20 overs of the game.

The senior spinner Sunil Narine scalped three wickets by conceding 33 runs in his quota of four overs for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first innings. Other than him, the young spin sensation Suyash Sharma also claimed a wicket to his name.

While chasing the target, the number three batter Venkatesh Iyer played a blistering knock of 83 runs off just 40 balls with eight boundaries and five sixes on his credit. He fell prey to Alzarri Joseph in the 16th over of the KKR innings. Later on, Rinku Singh's sensational and swashbuckling knock of 48 runs off just 21 balls with a boundary and six sixes in the last over helped the visitors to cross the line in 20 overs to win the match by three wickets.

Stand-in skipper and star spin-bowling all-rounder Rashid Khan scalped a sensational hat-trick in the 17th over of the KKR innings by scalping three consecutive wickets of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur. Although his efforts went in vain Gujarat ended up on the wrong side of the match.

Eventually, Knight Riders won the match by three wickets and registered the second successive win in the ongoing 16th edition of the Indian Premier League 2023.
