Gujarat under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya will face MS Dhoni’s Chennai in the tournament opener of the Indian T20 League 2023. Notably, Gujarat were the new entrants in the tournament last year in 2022 and they went on to lift the title in their debut season.

Meanwhile, Gujarat’s star bowler Sai Kishore has fallen on the receiving end of some trolls on the micro-blogging site Twitter. It all happened just after his recent statement on a comparison of Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya and Chennai skipper or former legendary Indian skipper, MS Dhoni.

"Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni are pretty similar in the way they handle things, they both are pretty calm,” said Sai Kishore ahead of the tournament.

Although, this comparison between Hardik and Dhoni didn’t go down well with a lot of Indian cricket fans who adore MS Dhoni for his captaincy skills. They immediately took to Twitter and trolled Sai Kishore for his statement; fans also trolled star Indian all-rounder and Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya.

Speaking of Sai Kishore, he played for Gujarat last time in the final of the Indian T20 League 2022 against Rajasthan. He registered the bowling figures of 2/20 in the final. Notably, Sai Kishore has played only 5 matches in his Indian T20 League so far to scalp six wickets.
