Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns in the 50th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis had the upper hand at the time of the toss and asked his batters to take the charge first. Batting first, the visitors managed to post 181 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Later on, Delhi Capitals comfortably chased down the total and won the match by a big margin of seven wickets to register their fourth win in the 10th match of the current season so far. With this win, Delhi Capitals have also gained a spot and moved to the ninth spot in the points table of the tournament.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the former skipper Virat Kohli and middle-order batter Mahipal Lomror scored half-centuries and played the crucial knocks of 55 and 54 runs respectively. Other than these two, the skipper Faf du Plessis also scored 45 runs with five boundaries and a six to his name. On the back of these knocks, RCB managed to put in a total of 181 runs for the loss of four wickets in the first 20 overs of the game.

Later on, while chasing the target, the star Delhi Capitals opener Phil Salt played an amazing and swashbuckling knock of 87 runs off just 45 balls with eight boundaries and six sixes on his credit. Following him, the middle-order batter also played a quick cameo of 35 runs to take DC home and chase down the target in 16.4 overs; they won the match by seven wickets.
