‘Har cheej mai Virat ko neecha dikhana hai’ - Fans Slam Gautam Gambhir For Disrespecting Virat Kohli While Praising Suryakumar Yadav Vs South Africa

Team India are currently busy playing the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The Men in Blue began the campaign on a high by defeating Pakistan and the Netherlands respectively. On 30 October, India took on the Proteas in Perth. So, fans were hoping for a good show once again from Rohit Sharma and his men.

Speaking about the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and choose to bat first. Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli came off to this match having good form with the bat. So, fans were hoping for another great show with the bat from these two. But, South African bowlers were on fire as they came out to bowl.

Gautam Gambhir hailed Suryakumar Yadav’s innings as the best T20I innings ever from an Indian player

Against the Netherlands, Virat Kohli scored 62* runs off 44 balls, including three fours and two sixes. But, Suryakumar Yadav was the player of the match for his 51* runs off 25 balls, at a strike rate of 204. He hit seven fours and one six in the match. After the completion of India’s innings, Gautam Gambhir made a big comment about Virat Kohli. He said that the real hero is Suryakumar Yadav, not Virat Kohli. Yadav took the pressure off Kohli since he went to bat out in the middle. He said: “Real hero is Suryakumar Yadav and not Virat Kohli as he took the pressure off him.”

Now, against South Africa, all Indian batters failed as they scored only 133 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Only Suryakumar Yadav scored 68* runs off 40 balls, including six fours and three sixes. After that innings, Gautam Gambhir claimed that this was the best-ever T20I innings from any Indian batter. He said: “bohot player 1000 run banayenge lekin aaj sky ne jo innings kheli hai wo baaki 6 batter se alag class ki hai.” However, fans did not like this statement from the former batter as they found it insulting to batters like Virat Kohli. They came and shared their views on social media platforms.
