India will name a new T20I captain for the Ireland series, which is set to begin in the month of August. As per reports, Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill will be rested for the T20I series against Ireland, and Suryakumar Yadav will take captain the explosive batter has a bit of captaincy experience, apart from that he has led the Mumbai team in the domestic circuit and also captained Mumbai Indians for one game in the IPL this year.
The first game will be played on the 18th of August followed by the second and third games to be played on the 20th and 23rd of August. All three games of the series will be played at The Village, Malahide. India is now touring West Indies and will play 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs with the Caribbean team.

An Indian Cricket Board source stated, "Nothing is finalized yet and it will also depend on how Hardik is feeling after the one-dayers and T20s in the West Indies. There is travelling involved and only a short turnaround of three days before one flies from Florida to Dublin. With the World Cup being of primary importance, one has to factor in his workload. Let's not forget he will be Rohit's deputy in the World Cup."

VVS Laxman will be the Indian Cricket Team's head coach for the forthcoming T20I series against Ireland. Due to the upcoming hectic schedule, Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip will all be rested for the Ireland tour. They will take control of the Asia Cup which is set to begin on August 31st.
