Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has picked his all-time T20 XI. The team boast of some of the biggest names in T20 cricket. Surprisingly, Harbhajan has left out India skipper Virat Kohli from the side. Rohit Sharma and Chris Gayle will form a deadly opening pair in Harbhajan’s team. They will be followed by England wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler and former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson. At 5, Harbhajan has slotted South Africa stalwart AB de Villiers.

Following AB will be former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The West Indies trio of Kerion Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine will add the much needed depth to the team. Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah will comprise a potent pace attack. Harbhajan has named MS Dhoni as captain of the side.

"MS Dhoni will not only be captain but will also be the wicketkeeper. I also have Jos Buttler as keeper in this team but I would like MS Dhoni to keep the wickets," he said in a video posted on Twitter. Harbhajan named his XI on Indian sports website Sportskeeda.

While the team looks incredibly strong, many feel Virat Kohli should have been in the team. Kohli is the highest run-scorer in the T20Is, with 3227 runs at an astounding average of 52.34. The India skipper also won the player of the series awards in the previous two editions of the 20-20 World Cup. The current season will be Kohli’s final world tournament as a T20I skipper. Post the event, Kohli will step down from his post.
