The World Cup is just a day away. All the 10 teams are gearing up for the World Cup and are excited for the mega event to start. Former players and experts have started giving their predictions for the top scorers, wicket-takers, and top 4 sides to qualify for the semi-finals. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh previously made bold remarks about the World Cup predictions.
The former spinner believes that wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav will be the highest wicket-taker in the tournament. Team India skipper Rohit Sharma will hit the most sixes in the World Cup. He also states that star opener Shubman Gill will receive the Player of the Tournament award. He also termed the 23-year-old batter as the best World Cup newcomer. The two-time World Cup winner said Afghanistan is the side to surprise everyone in the mega event.
Ahead of the World Cup Bhajji has said, that Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the top bowling choices for the Men in Blue. He also assumes that India should play him in the World Cup 2023. The 37-year-old spinner has replaced injured all-rounder Axar Patel who suffered a left quadriceps strain during a Super 4 match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. Ashwin made good comeback to the squad as he became the highest wicket-taker against Australia, picking up 144 wickets and breaking the long-held record of Anil Kumble.

Harbhajan said while speaking on Cricinfo, "People are realising that skill is more important. It's not like an off-spinner shouldn't bowl to right-handers. Even I mentioned that Ashwin should play if the opposition has more left-handers, but that is what the management thinks. But if I was captain of the team or part of management, I would pick my five best bowlers and Ashwin would be first or second on that list."
He while praising batter Suryakumar Yadav on his YouTube channel said, "Suryakumar Yadav has to play all the matches. I don't care whom he replaces, but his name should be taken first and then the rest. You have a player who is a pure match-winner and can single-handedly make the game one-sided. He is the ace of spades. We have have been taking about a finisher...he is the one. He has to play at No. 5 for India."
