Before the beginning of the tour, Hardik Pandya was added to the Indian squad as a specialist batsman. Many questions were raised on whether he would be able to contribute to the team as a batsman.

However, the all-rounder succeeded in essaying the role of a middle-order batsman and a great finisher for the Indian side. In both the ODI and T20I series, Hardik’s dauntless power-hitting ability has been the crucial aspect of Australian soil.

The veteran pacer Zaheer Khan carefully monitored Pandya in IPL 2020. He also opined that the all-rounder is confident about his game. The batsman is calm and can smash a six at any stage. Pandya waits for that bowler to make an error and makes sure that the bowler gets under pressure.

Hardik Pandya has been in exceptional form after returning from his injury in the IPL. The batsman averaged 35 in the Indian Premier League and flashed at a strike rate of 178. He is the third-highest of the tournament following Kieron Pollard and Jofra Archer. The finishes produced by Pandya and Pollard were an important factor for Mumbai Indians.

Zaheer Khan also believes that the all-rounder is going to build reliability which is going to be very hard for any bowler to deal with.
