Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, has sent a heartfelt message to teammate Jasprit Bumrah, who was officially ruled out of the World T20 2022 on Monday. Speed merchant Bumrah, one of the best pacers in the Indian team, will miss the 2022 World Cup due to a back injury.

Bumrah had been speculated to miss the mega event after being ruled out of the ongoing T20I series between India and South Africa. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the development on Monday.

In the midst of these trying times for Bumrah, all-rounder Pandya shared a special message for the injured pacer. "My Jassi Come back stronger like you always do@Jaspritbumrah93," Pandya tweeted. Pandya's heartwarming tweet was an instant hit with Indian cricket fans and followers. His tweet has received over 43k likes.

The BCCI has revealed in a media release that the decision about Bumrah's availability for the World Cup was made by the Indian think tank after a "detailed assessment." "The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists," BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.

While Mohammed Siraj has taken Bumrah's place in the series against South Africa, no replacement has been named for the World Cup. Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar are on Team India's reserve list for the T20 World Cup. Shami or Chahar are expected to fill in for the injured Bumrah at the 2022 World Cup. Ravindra Jadeja, an Indian all-rounder, had previously been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a knee injury.

The World Cup is all set to begin on the 16th of October. India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their World Cup opener in Melbourne on October 23rd. In addition, India will play two warm-up games against New Zealand and Australia.
