Hardik Pandya is someone who always takes the brave decision: Rashid Khan

Gujarat have been absolutely sensational in the Indian T20 league 2022 so far. They have won four out of their five games, and are currently placed at the top of the points table. Besides, they recently beat the in-form Rajasthan by 37 runs. It was their captain Hardik Pandya who led from the front.

He scored a brilliant 82 from just 52 deliveries. Besides, several experts and analysts have been impressed by his captaincy skills. Even Rashid Khan went on to speak really highly of Pandya's captaincy.

His deputy had heaps of praises for the 28-year-old's approach as a leader. The Afghanistan spinner stated that Pandya has done an amazing job in managing the team environment. Rashid drew light on the Gujarat skipper's tendency to take bold decisions.

"He (Hardik) is someone who always takes that brave decision, always has confidence and he is someone who is very clear in mind on what he is going to do. This is an important thing as a captain when your mind is clear, and you take the right decisions, the result will take care of by itself," said Rashid Khan during the virtual post-match press conference.

He also pointed out the importance of a captain making the right decisions. The leggie also said that Pandya has been delivering his "best". An important point to be noted is that the aggressive all-rounder is currently second on the list of the leading run-getters in the Indian T20 league 2022 as of now. As for Rashid, he too has been superb with the ball.

"This is an important thing as a captain when your mind is clear, and you take right decisions, the result will take (care) by itself. You take right decisions with confidence, that is something which makes him the best and he has been delivering the best so far and leading from the front - (be it) batting, bowling and fielding," he added.
