An India-Pakistan clash is the cream of any ICC event. The arch-rivals are once again set to cross swords in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in UAE. Pakistan have a miserable record against India in World Cups and have never managed to beat the Men in Blue. However, they did surprise India in the Champions Trophy in 2017 to claim the title. Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali feels that Pakistan can replicate their Champions Trophy heroics in the upcoming T20 World Cup match against India.

“When we won the Champions Trophy (in 2017), it was a very good time for us and we will try to beat them again in the T20 World Cup. We will give our best. Playing against India is always a pressure game because of the expectations of fans from both countries,” Hasan told a virtual media conference on Wednesday.

Post the Champions Trophy final, India and Pakistan have met twice, in Asia Cup 2018 and 2019 World Cup, with India coming out on top in both games. Ali further said the India-Pakistan match is a high-pressure game as the whole world look up to that battle. “Even those people who don't normally watch cricket follow the India vs Pakistan matches, so the pressure on the players is high but we will give it our best.”

Hasan Ali reckoned the conditions in UAE will suit the spinners more but emphasized that pacers will also be equally dangerous on the surfaces. “We know how to bowl in those conditions but yes you can see all teams have picked many spinners in their squads.”

The iconic battle is set to take place on October 24 at the Dubai International Stadium.
