There are two sides to a coin in the Social media world. While everything seems to be going smoothly when the player is in good form, the opposite happens when he or she does not perform as per expectations.  India coach Ravi Shastri has also been subject to trolls on social media due to his weight and laidback attitude. Often the trollers can be seen making funny memes on the 59-year-old. The former head coach, however, does not think a lot about the trolls and sees a funny side of things. "It's banter all the way, they do it to have fun at my expense, I will take a laugh yaar, have a drink in my name.

“Kya farak padta hai, Main nimbu paani piyunga or I will have milk and honey, you have a drink, enjoy karo na at my expense," Shastri said in the post-match press conference when asked how he views the social media criticism and ridicule that he was subjected to during his tenure.

Shastri ended his coaching career after India bowed out of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. During his tenure, India went on to become a force to reckon with in all the formats of the game. There were a few flipsides as well and one of those was not winning the World Cup under his two-year tenure for which few criticised Shastri as well. Shastri said he used the criticism in his stride.

"Criticism kya baat hai yaar...It all revolves around performance, accha karo, you will get the accolades, if you don't perform, you will get a kick and a slap. Shanti rakho, om shanti om," he quipped.
