After the match, a video went viral where Argentina players were seen celebrating their victory against Mexico in the dressing room. Lionel Messi was not an exception. But, he was seen slightly kicking the Mexico jersey as he attempted to remove his cleats.

After watching that, Canelo was not happy and then, he shared his thoughts on Twitter. He wrote: "Did you guys see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag. He better pray to God that I don't find him. Just like I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico! I'm not talking about the country as a whole, just about the bulls--t that Messi did."

Speaking of that match, both the goals came in the second half only. In the 64th minute, Lionel Messi produced magic as he scored a screamer from 25 yards out. Angel Di Maria assisted him.
