The debate of ‘who is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo?’ is not something new for the footballing world. There are always some statements that spark a new debate or a controversial discussion in the footballing fraternity on these two legends. Recently, the former Argentina international Sergio Aguero started another debate and Twitter war with his statement comparing Cristiano Ronaldo with the World Cup winner Argentina skipper Lionel Messi.

Notably, Messi has recently surpassed Ronaldo in scoring the most goals in European football with a goal scored on Sunday. Just after that, Aguero came up with a statement that sparked a wave of controversial comments on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

"Look where he scores the goal from," Aguero explained. "Come on. All free-kick goals and pure luck. Messi's are all at the angle, stupid. But what does do? Goalkeeper's fault” said, Aguero.

These comments from Messi’s great best friend didn’t go down well with a lot of football fans and they came took to Twitter to come up with a lot angry and reactions to register their dissent. Notably, Aguero means a lot more for Messi just than his former international teammate while playing for Argentina.

Messi is currently in action with the renowned French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the ongoing Ligue 1. PSG recently locked horns with Nice in their 30th match of the tournament. The 35-year-old legendary winger scored the first goal for the team in the 26th minute of the match followed by the second goal from Sergio Ramos in the 76th minute during the second half.

Eventually, PSG won the match by a margin of 2-0 against Nice to register their 22nd win in the tournament so far. The European footballing powerhouse PSG are placed at the top spot in the points table of the Ligue 1 with only three draws and 5 losses to their name.
