The star Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has enjoyed a very brilliant career so far with the ball, earlier in the beginning, he amazed everyone with his mysterious chinaman bowling. Apart from this, the Kanpur-born bowler also impressed with outstanding bowling in the Indian Premier League since his debut in the tournament 11 years back in the year 2012.
He was a crucial part of the national side of India till the ODI World Cup of 2019 before getting side-lined from the squad by the selectors. Recently, Kuldeep Yadav has opened up about a piece of advice given by the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar during the former’s debut IPL season 11 years back in 2012.
“It was the 2012 season. I had entered the Indian U19 team, and during the IPL, I had a series in Australia but I didn't have a great experience there. In the afternoon, Sachin paaji had to bat. I bowled at him for about an hour and had even dismissed him. Then he talked to me for half an hour,” said Kuldeep Yadav to Gaurav Kapur in the latter’s show Breakfast with Champions.
"He tried to motivate me that it was just a start"
“I was very young back then, so I was very outspoken. So, I started sharing things with him. I told him how I had a bad experience in Australia, I bowled poorly. So, he tried to motivate me that it was just a start and that I will face such situations many times in the future. Then he talked about the IPL... He told me to beware of the lifestyle in IPL, sleep on time, eat well, don't roam around too much because a lot of people will approach you,” he added later.
Currently, Kuldeep Yadav is in action with his franchise Delhi Capitals in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023.
