Mohammad Siraj was sensational in the final of the 2023 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka. The spell of the premier fast bowler of India was praised by fans from different parts of the world. It was the 8th title win of India in the history of the Asia Cup. With the win against Sri Lanka, the Indian team extended the lead of most title wins in the Asia Cup. Siraj’s spell against Sri Lanka made things easier for the Indian team. The batters of Sri Lanka had no answer to the fiery spell from Siraj. It was one of the best spells from an Indian bowler in ODIs.
In his 7 overs, Siraj bowled a maiden over and conceded only 21 runs. The pacer claimed 6 wickets, including those of Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dasun Shanaka, Charith Asalanka, and Dhananjaya De Silva. The 29-year-old won the Player of the Match award for his performance and became the talk of the town.
