Young Indian uncapped player Yashasvi Jaiswal has been picked in the Test squad of Team India for the upcoming West Indies tour. India, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, will take on the Caribbean side in the two-match Test series starting from the 12th of July next month. Jaiswal is considered as the possible number three for India in the future.

Coming back to his selection in the national squad, Jaiswal made a revelation about his father’s first reaction following the news of his son's selection in Team India.

“My father started crying when he got to know I'm selected for India,” said Jaiswal to PTI.

He ended up being the fifth-highest run-scorer in the 16th edition of the tournament. He was praised for his performance by a lot of former cricketers and experts in the game.
