England's star batsman Jason Roy has expressed confidence that his side will bounce back in the third T20I against India. Jason Roy was the highest run-scorer for the visitors in the second T20I against India. His 46 off 35 was the highest in their total of 164/6 as England ended up losing the match by seven wickets. Despite the hosts equalling the series 1-1, Jason Roy is optimistic that England will bounce back stronger when the two teams meet in the third match. Jason Roy has been the star performer for the visitors scoring 49 and 46 in two T20Is.

It was a slow and tough surface: Jason Roy

Team England struggled to get going in the first innings, as opening batsman Jos Buttler got out for a duck. Apart from Roy, there were contributions from Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow, and Dawid Malan as well. However, none of them made a big score and took the visitors closer to 200.

India's attempts at playing more aggressively failed in the first match as their batting order collapsed. However, a fearless half-century from Ishan Kishan helped them to win the second game. England, who batted well chasing a small total in the first game, could not set a big target for the hosts in the second game.

England, the no.1 T20I team globally, has risen to the top dominating on quicker pitches that suit their strengths. With the T20 World Cup later in the year, Eoin Morgan talked about the importance of playing on slower conditions in this series to give cricketers the opportunity to learn how to perform best on such pitches.

Mark Wood is likely to make a return to the squad and will most probably replace Tom Curran. The third T20I between India vs England will be played at the same venue on Tuesday, March 16.
