Former Indian opener and an active commentator, Aakash Chopra has come up with some suggestions that the Indian Cricket Board should implement to make the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 more spectacular. The marquee international tournament is all set to be kicked off on October 5 and the final of the tournament will be played on November 19 later this year.

The tournament will include a total of 10 teams, hosted across 10 venues in India. Meanwhile, Chopra also shared his views on the recently-concluded Apex Council meeting with the Indian Cricket Board. He also stressed the importance of upgradation in all the stadiums that are set to host the matches of the highly-anticipated 13th edition of the ODI World Cup.

"Money will be allotted for stadium upgrades. I think 50 crore rupees per venue. Let's make this World Cup a wonderful spectacle, which we all expect, as it has come to India after a long time. It won't be enjoyable if we don't make the viewer experience beautiful," said Chopra in a video on his YouTube Channel.

Here's what Aakash Chopra further said

"What are the important things that should be done in my opinion? For specially-abled people, you need to make ramps for them. I will say you need to make a good experience for them. I feel the second thing required is just the washrooms and sanitation and cleanliness. You have to make it absolutely top-notch," added Chopra.

Notably, it would be the first ever ODI World Cup in the history of the game which will be hosted entirely by India. Earlier, on previous occasions, it was jointly hosted by South Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.

Chopra also suggested that the Indian management should make a few necessary changes in the stadiums to make this global event more enjoyable to the fans of the game. He advised having roofs on all the stadiums to protect the fans from the heat and scorching rays of the sun.
