There, Gavaskar came up with a huge prediction about the future of Babar Azam if he manages to win the World Cup final this year.

Speaking of the video, Sunil Gavaskar said: “You know what I think. If Pakistan do win the World Cup, in 25 years Babar Azam will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan.” Such a prediction from him put smiles on fans’ faces as they made the video viral. He said that only because of Imran Khan.

The former World Cup-winning captain also became the Prime Minister of Pakistan after his playing days. Speaking about Babar Azam, he finally managed to contribute with the bat in the semi-final against New Zealand. The Pakistan skipper scored 53 runs off 42 balls, including seven fours. He batted at a strike rate of 126.19. Babar also stitched a solid partnership of 105 runs in 12.4 overs with Mohammad Rizwan while chasing 153 runs.

However, Rizwan scored 57 runs off 43 balls, including five fours. He also batted at a strike rate of 132.55. These openers finally showed some form with the bat for their country. Rizwan also won the player of the match award for his match-winning knock. While batting first, New Zealand scored 152 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Babar Azam led Pakistan to chase it down in 19.1 overs with seven wickets to spare.
