Team India are currently busy playing the home ODI series against New Zealand. Both these nations have always provided top-quality cricket to their fans all over these years. Top performances have come from both the batting and bowling departments. In this current series, fans show top-quality batting in the first match.

But, in the second match, Indian bowlers showed class as they bundled out the Kiwis for 108 runs in 34.3 overs. Mohammed Shami was the star of the show as he took three wickets for 18 runs in six overs. However, there are some terrific spells from different bowlers during ODIs between these countries.

This is one of the best bowling figures for any bowler in an ODI match between India and New Zealand. It was the fifth match of the series that took place in Visakhapatnam on 29 October 2016. Both teams were looking to win the series decider. India batted first and scored 269 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. 

But, in reply, the Kiwis got bundled out for 79 runs in 23.1 overs. Amit Mishra was the star of the show as he took five wickets for 18 runs in six overs. Thus, he won the player of the match award and India won the series 3-2. However, Amit Mishra won the player of the series award for taking 15 wickets.

This top bowling spell came in the second match of the Triangular series in 2005. The match took place on 26 August in Bulawayo. Speaking of the match, the Kiwis won the toss and opted to bat first. Then, they got bundled out for 215 runs in 43.1 overs. But, Indian batters failed to chase the target down.

In reply, India got bundled out for just 164 runs in 37.2 overs. Shane Bond was the star of the show as he took six wickets for 19 runs in nine overs. Bond also bowled three maiden overs in that match. Thus, he won the player of the match award for that spell. Eventually, he managed to take 11 wickets in four innings in that tournament.

This bowling spell came during the India tour of New Zealand in 2019. It was the fourth match of the series that took place in Hamilton. Team India already sealed the series by winning the first three matches. But, the Kiwis surprised them in the fourth clash. India batted first and got bundled out for just 92 runs in 30.5 overs. 

Trent Boult was the star of the show as he took five wickets for 21 runs in 10 overs. In reply, the home side chased the target down easily in 14.4 overs. Boult won the player of the match award. Eventually, he was the highest wicket-taker in that series with 12 wickets. But, the Men in Blue won the series 4-1.     

Andre Adams 5/22 2003

This bowling spell came during the India tour of New Zealand in 2002/2003. It was the fourth match of that seven-match series. The Kiwis already won the first three matches and hence, they were looking to seal the series by winning that match. While team India were looking to win that match to keep their hopes alive.

But, New Zealand won the match again as they defeated the Men in Blue by seven wickets. The visitors got bundled out for 122 runs while batting first in 43.4 overs. Andre Adams was the star of the show as he took five wickets for 22 runs in 8.4 overs. He also won the player of the match award. Eventually, the Kiwis defeated team India 5-2 in that series.

This bowling spell came during the India tour of New Zealand in 2002/2003. It was the series opener that took place in Auckland. The home side won the toss and asked team India to bat first. But, they got bundled out for just 108 runs in 32.5 overs. In reply, the Kiwi batters also faced some troubles.

But, they managed to chase down the target in 37.4 overs. They defeated the Men in Blue by just three wickets. Jacob Oram won the player of the match award for taking five wickets for 26 runs in 10 overs. Eventually, the Kiwis defeated team India 5-2 in that series.
