Indian bowler Yuzvendra Chahal is confident that India will win the upcoming T20 World Cup. The 30-year-old stated that the Indian side is balanced in all the 3 aspects of the game. Hence, Chahal is quite confident that India will win its 2nd ever T20 World cup this year. India last won a T20 World Cup back in 2007. Under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, India defeated Pakistan in the final to claim their 1st ever T20 World Cup Trophy.

The T20 World Cup is set to take place in India in October-November 2021. Since India will play the T20 World Cup on home soil, Chahal feels that the Indian T20I side has the upper hand. India’s preparation for the 2021 T20 World Cup has come under intense scrutiny. The major reason behind this is the midway suspension of the IPL this year. There is a strong chance that the UAE might host the T20 World Cup this year. Owing to the terrible situation in India due to COVID-19, the UAE is in strong consideration to host the upcoming T20 World Cup. Since IPL 2020 was hosted in the UAE, Chahal stated that India would still be favorites to win the T20 World Cup, even if there was a change in venue.
