Star South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is currently playing for the Dubran’s Super Giants in the inaugural edition of the SA20 League. In a recent 23rd match against MI Capitals, de Kock played a crucial knock of 63 runs off 41 balls and helped his team win the match by five wickets.

He also won the ‘player of the match award for his match-defining performance against the Capitals. Notably, de Kock was ruled out of a match just a day ago due to an injury and it didn’t go down well with the Indian cricketer Abhinav Mukund. Subsequently, the latter questioned this kind of attitude and also compared the situation to what would be the reactions of the people if an Indian cricketer would be there in place of de Kock.

“Question- The PoTM in yesterday s #SA20 missed an international game less than 24 hours before due to an injury. What would happen if the roles were reversed with an Indian cricketer doing that for an IPL game? Would we be ok with that?” tweeted Abhinav Mukund from his official Twitter handle.

Here’s a look at what Abhinav Mukund tweeted for Quinton de Kock:

Speaking of the match, DSG skipper Quinton de Kock won the toss and asked Rashid Khan’s men to bat first at the Kingsmead, Durban. Batting first, the capitals posted a score of 165 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target, the hosts chased down the target in 19.5 overs and won the match by five wickets. Super Giants won this match courtesy of Quinton de Kock’s 63-run knock followed by a crucial contribution of 48 and 31 runs from Matthew Breetzke and Keemo Paul.
