With just two days to go for the upcoming International T20 Cup 2021, the excitement has reached at its peak among fans, experts, and onlookers of the game. The showpiece event returns after five years and the official broadcasters of the tournament are leaving no stone unturned to get the audience hooked onto the global spectacle.

In a new fun video released by the official broadcasters, India skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant can be seen sharing thoughts about the International T20 Cup. Kohli started things off by saying how crucial it is to hit sixes during the global event. The wicketkeeper batter was quick to respond and said that he has been practicing hitting the maximums in the nets. Pant also gave an example of MS Dhoni and said how a wicketkeeper batter had helped India win an ICC event in 2011 by finishing things off with a six.

It is a well-documented fact that Dhoni remains one of the greatest finishers of the game. His presence of mind and calmness in pressure situations is second to none. Kohli also acknowledged that India have not seen a better wicketkeeper than Dhoni.

“Rishabh, sixes win you matches in T20 cricket,” Kohli tells Pant in a virtual call in the video shared by Star Sports India.

“Don’t worry bhaiya, I am practicing every day. It was a wicketkeeper that won India a International 50 over Cup by hitting a six,” said Pant.

“Yes, but India have not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai since then,” Kohli said.

Pant immediately replied by saying he is the designated wicketkeeper of the team. Apart from Pant, India has a backup in KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan in the team. Kohli noted that fact and said, “See I have a lot of wicketkeepers, let’s see who plays in the warm-ups.”
