Lata Mangeshkar was infected with COVID-19 in January and was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on January 8. She was in ICU ever since but recently started to show some signs of improvement. Her death is a massive blow to the Indians and all art lovers across the globe.

The iconic singer had a career that lasted over 7 decades and earned her several awards including the Dada Saheb Phalke award in 1989 and Bharat Ratna in 2001. She also won three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards, four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards, two Filmfare Special Awards, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
