The Indian cricket team moved to the second position in ICC T20I Team Rankings. The Men in Blue are the number one ranked Test side and the second in the 50-over format. Australia recently lost the 5-match T20I series against New Zealand 3-2, and as a result, the team has now dropped to the third spot. Australia is now just one point behind India. The England cricket team is at the top spot in the rankings and is also seven points ahead of India. India will face England in the upcoming 5-match T20I series. Virat Kohli and Co. have a great chance to top the ICC rankings if they manage to defeat the English side.

In T20I batsmen rankings, Australia captain Aaron Finch has jumped to the second spot. The batsman performed brilliantly in the just-concluded series against New Zealand. Finch moved up two spots to take the second position, while KL Rahul dropped one position (3rd). India captain Virat Kohli ranks sixth. Eoin Morgan is tenth.

No Indian cricketer in the Top 10 ICC T20I bowling and all-rounder rankings

New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill progressed three spots. He has now broken into the Top 10, taking the eighth spot. Guptill smashed 218 runs during the T20 series against Australia. Surprisingly, there is no Indian cricketer in the T20I bowling and all-rounder rankings. Rashid Khan is the number one ranked bowler in the shortest format of the game, while his teammate Mohammad Nabi is the number one all-rounder.

In ICC bowling rankings, Australian spinner Ashton Agar progressed four slots, and he is now at the fourth spot. New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi jumped three spots, and he is now ranked at the eighth position. Ashton Agar and Ish Sodhi made significant gains because they captured 13 and 8 scalps in the recently concluded series, respectively. Tim Southee and Adam Zampa lost three and one spot respectively to be at the 9th and 6th place in the rankings. Sri Lanka spinner Lakshan Sandakan moved nine spots, and he sits at the tenth position.
